Welcome: The aim of the course is to support your development as a competent and safe practitioner in IV Therapy. The course is a blended approach to learning which means you will complete the Theoretical Components (online) of the course and then attend a day, Face to Face on practical skills session.
Note: you will be able to book for the face to face study day only after completing all the e-learning successfully.
Completion of this online package alone does not make you competent, but rather forms the basis of your knowledge of safe IV practice. How to obtain the Competency will be discussed on the Face to Face day.
Pre-requisite before starting this course:
- You must be a qualified professional
- You must have obtained the Standard Medication, Venepuncture and Cannulation Competencies

Welcome to your Preceptorship Acute Deterioration: Assessment & Management (ADAM) Course. This day will be presented in a blended learning format, whereby you will have half a day’s training face to face and the other half completing a couple of online module / presentations. You will be allocated to a either an AM or a PM face to face session by Preceptorship Administrators - please see your individual preceptorship programme for more details. You will receive an enrolment key along with the course details a couple of weeks prior to your course. This will grant you access the online module which is to be fully completed prior to attending the face to face session.
