Welcome to your Frimley Health Preceptorship Programme!

Qualifying and undertaking the transition into your new role can be both an exciting and challenging time. At Frimley Health, we recognise this and are committed to providing a supportive and comprehensive Preceptorship Programme during this transitional period. Our aim is to develop clinical knowledge and skills for those who are newly qualified and new to the register to become confident, safe and competent practitioners.

The structured programme consists of a series of study days, after which Preceptees practice the skills they have learnt in their clinical area. The study days are delivered by the Preceptorship Team, Clinical Educators and Subject Matter Experts and are spread over the course of the first year. Preceptees are also supported in clinical practice to achieve relevant clinical competencies. A variety of interactive learning methods are used including discussion, group work, reflection, clinical scenarios, workshops, peer learning, e-learning and simulation.

Your preceptorship programme consists of 7 days with a choice of optional days in which you may attend. You will be allocated to a cohort by the Preceptorship Team and automatically loaded on to the seven mandatory study days. Should you wish to undertake any of the optional days, please liaise with your line manager and then contact either Ernest Santos (FPH) or Louise Newman (WPH) to book a place.

Below you will find the links to each Preceptorship study day as per your Programme. For most of the study days there will be some online material in which you need to complete during that study day or beforehand. In each section you will find all the details you need for this, together with any additional resources that may be of benefit to you.

Enjoy the programme and remember we are always here to help and support you all during this first year. Our office doors are always open!
